We selected these options to offer some insight into each manufacturer’s strengths and weaknesses when compared to other players in the same category. Our key takeaway from our testing was that all of these companies provide good value for their price point, as well as decent build quality. However, not all of them offer up their full capabilities across every aspect of

performance and features

You might want to consider other things as well or you can even just go for something cheaper if that’s more your preference at the moment. 2) Acer Aspire 4 The Aspire 4 uses an Intel Core i7-11375H CPU instead of an AMD Ryzen 9 6950X, but its quad HD display and low pricing make their mark. While its base model does come equipped with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD storage you need to add on two USB 2.0 ports along with 8 Gigabytes Ethernet port or upgrade to 32 GB memory and 1 TB HDD storage. If you're looking for a machine with better overall speed, then you might want to take a look at the i7 version instead. For now, though, you won't see any difference between the two, since both versions come with an identical processor, especially since it's an 11th Gen Intel chip. Still, the smaller i7 model is faster in terms of multitasking and general processing speeds compared to the larger (Asus) model. It also has a fairly compact 12.3-inch FHD OLED touchscreen display that offers excellent ergonomics for long-term use. When it comes down to it, however, there isn't much that you won't like about the Aspire 4, even though you can save a few hundred dollars by moving to the lower end of the sub-$700 range.

Dell XPS 13 A Chromebook

Dell

What does Google mean to the world now? Well for starters, Google Chrome OS is coming out soon in 2022-and the upcoming Pixel 6 series is going to be based on Android 11. This means your choice of the laptop will almost certainly change over next year when the next generation of phones starts rolling around. That being said, if you're looking for a modern device that still feels familiar while also offering a lot of power and versatility at a reasonable price, then you need to know that Dell's XPS 13 lineup is pretty much designed to meet the new standards set by Google and Not only does it offer a small (11-inch) 1080p AMOLED screen but it also has multiple USB ports, four Thunderbolt 3 ports for fast charging, a massive battery capacity of 512 Wh and plenty of ports for storage (though they may feel empty). More importantly, it ticks off lots of the criteria that Google has outlined for Chromebooks - great keyboard and touchpad combo, responsive design, bright color option, reliable wifi, super secure encryption, and so forth. Plus, it doesn't break the bank either at $700 (or below), making it a solid alternative for many people if you don't think

Windows

10 will ever disappear. 4) MSI Stealth 15 The Stealth 15 is another budget laptop offering that goes through nearly everything to keep costs down. With its thin and light chassis, lightweight aluminum frame, 14-inch 1920x1080 IPS LCD panel with multi-touch functionality, and powerful webcam, it's easy to justify buying a little extra money for this particular configuration. Even after adding on its optional GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card, you'll still get plenty of raw horsepower out of this machine thanks to Intel's integrated UHD Graphics 620 chipset, which also powers most other configurations. Aside from running Windows 11 out of the box, you'll also see impressive RAM and storage options ranging from 128 GB to a whopping 8TB. At just under three pounds, the Stealth 15 is also extremely portable, measuring in at approximately 7 inches (15 centimeters). Finally, although it lacks WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS, it boasts Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and a front-facing fingerprint reader that allows it to connect just about anywhere, even outdoors with its foldable design. All in all, even though it's not quite as powerful as some of the flagships on the list, the Stealth 15 offers a solid balance between efficiency and performance, whether you're looking for a budget pick or a mid-range machine that's ready for whatever's coming next. And if you do happen to splurge a bit, expect to pay close to half a grand (around £;500 ~ $700~) for added extras such as a built-in stylus or external monitor.
